Director of Information Technology

Position Summary

Alliance Catholic Credit Union is seeking an exceptional  and  experienced  Director of Information Technology who thrives in a well-organized, fast-paced, and multi-task driven environment. This position will report directly to the VP of Information Technology at our Admin location.


The ideal candidate:

  • Champion improvements to hardware / system / application performance and stability
  • Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain all network and telecom infrastructure components, including network topology document
  • Implement effective tools and monitoring as new components and/or features are rolled out
  • Lead disaster recovery plan updates, event planning and execution and deliver DR test results to IT leadership
  • Develop and maintain a standard patch management process
  • Key participant in all IT audits and assessments
  • Maintain an asset database of all technology and equipment purchased and deployed
  • Work with vendors to keep up to date on new software versions
  • Monitor network performance and maintain systems according to recommended requirements
  • Troubleshoot and resolve all network/telecom issues and outages
  • Ensure security through access controls, backups, and firewalls
  • Upgrade systems with new releases and models
  • Keep abreast of emerging trends in technology and train team IT team members on new technologies introduced to the environment
  • Manage failover and redundancy validation within our system infrastructure
  • Develop and maintain technical procedures, standards, and IT/DR policies
  • Vendor management – relationship building, contract review/renewals, vendor risk reviews
  • Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN), telecom, network monitoring and patch management
  • Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion prevention/detection systems) and data backup/recovery



A successful candidate will be an approachable team player with a personable and professional demeanor, a desire to learn and driven to achieve outstanding results---accurately and efficiently. We seek a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related business field and/or 5-10 years of progressively more responsible experience and familiarity with all functions of Information Technology; 3+ years of technology and related supervisory experience preferred. Knowledge of Credit Union products and services and previous technology experience in a credit union or financial institution is desirable.
